Module 2 - Clarify Your Values

In this module, we are going to explore your core values. Click here to access the Values Assessment, and then refer to the questions below (or find them in your workbook under Module 2).

Once you have completed the assessment, I invite you add your top five values to the worksheet in your workbook, and take some time to go through the journal questions below.

Why it's important to define your values

Your core values are closely aligned to your interests. They also reflect what is most important to you. As ADHDer's when we spend time and energy focused on our interests and living in alignment with our values, feelings of distraction, procrastination and self-sabotage tend to go down and our ability to focus and get into flow dramatically increases.

You can also access these reflection exercises in your workbook.

How do you see your life as an expression of those values?  Are your days spent in alignment with what you value most?  If not, why?  What can you do to change that?

Describe how your life would look if you truly lived your values.  Try not to get caught up in creating a vision of a “perfect life”..  Just think about what the truest version of your life would look like to you, if you made every decision in alignment with your values.

  • What would your work look like (or would you work at all?)
  • What would your family and personal life look like?
  • What skills and gifts would you most want to use?
  • What would your daily schedule look like?  Map it out for weekdays and weekends.
  • How would you be contributing to your own health and well being?
  • How would you be supporting the health and well being of the people you love?
  • What would your finances look like?  I
  • What would you say no to?
